Scotiabank App for Android users now available in Canada

TORONTO--Scotiabank has expanded its app offerings, including Android for Canadian cusotmers, and a Smartphone application is available to customers in 20 Caribbean countries. This complements the Bank's existing suite of apps, now available for iPhone, BlackBerry and Android users in Canada.

"Mobile penetration in the Caribbean tells us that Smartphones are becoming a larger part of our customers' lives and we want to be in step with this evolution," said Gale Geddes, Scotiabank's Vice-President of Self-Service Banking for International Banking. "Providing our clients with relevant products and services is how we show our commitment to offering innovative, convenient and secure ways to bank with us."

Customers can check their account balances and transaction details, pay bills, transfer money between accounts and much more with Scotiabank's suite of apps. With the click of a button, the Scotia Mobile App can also help customers locate Scotiabank Branches and ABMs across Canada and the Caribbean with its "Find Us" feature.

Scotiabank's mobile applications operate on the same advanced security platform as Scotia Online Banking, making any transactions made through the app safe and secure. All transactions made through the app are also protected under Scotiabank's Mobile Security Guarantee.
